Mr Mustapha Samateh, Director of Budget at the Ministry of Finance and Economic Affairs in The Gambia and Chairperson of CABRI's Management Committee, travelled to South Africa for the 35th Management Committee (MC) meeting this week. Mr Samateh was on his first official visit as Chairperson of CABRI's MC since he recently succeeded to Mr Alaye Barra.

Today, he met with Mrs Sheila Thipe, Director: General Government Accounts at the South Africa National Treasury and Chairperson of CABRI's General Assembly (GA). Mr Samateh and Mrs Thipe were joined by the Executive Secretary of CABRI, Dr Kay Brown and the Executive for Operations, Mrs Soonsyra Lowe Nicolas.

South Africa will host CABRI's GA meeting this year. Mr Samateh and Mrs Thipe are both elected members of CABRI's MC and GA respectively for the period 2025/27.
