CABRI and the Swedish Tax Agency have partnered on a 12-month SecFin Africa capability-building programme to address illicit financial flows (IFFs). The programme uses the Problem-Driven Iterative Adaptation (PDIA) approach with close collaboration between multidisciplinary teams from various institutions at a country level, including Ministries of Finance, Revenue Authorities, Financial Intelligence Units, and Enforcement Agencies.

Today, Joana Bento, Programme Manager at CABRI, met with the STA delegation, namely, Tommy Carlsson, Project Manager; Johan Blomquist, Analyst and Coach for Team South Africa, as well as Anette Landen, Senior Advisor and Coach for Team Kenya.

The meeting focused on the progress made and the key challenges faced by the country teams from Liberia, Kenya, Namibia, Rwanda, South Africa, and Zambia, thus far in the programme. Each team joined the SecFin Africa programme to address the issues fuelling IFFs in their respective countries.
